The School Choice Counts campaign has grown into a powerful national movement, uniting Independent school communities around a shared commitment to fairness, choice, and inclusion in education. Launched by Independent Schools Australia alongside state and territory Associations, the campaign has worked tirelessly to protect government funding for Independent school students, defend family choice, and ensure every student is treated equitably—regardless of the school they attend. From Parliament House to school gates, the campaign has mobilised thousands of voices, generated widespread engagement, and placed Independent schools firmly in the national education conversation.

While the 2025 federal election is now behind us, the campaign continues. The challenges facing Independent schools remain, and so does our resolve. With new policy proposals on the horizon and ongoing public debate, School Choice Counts will keep advocating for families, students, and schools—ensuring that every Australian parent retains the right to choose the best educational path for their child. This is more than a campaign; it’s a growing movement, and we’re just getting started.
